Caulfield South Community House is a warm and friendly meeting place in the heart of Caulfield South. Pop in and discover all we have to offer.

We provide an welcoming space for all people in the community to find ways to enrich their lives. Operating since 1988, we are a non-sectarian not-for-profit community organisation, governed by a volunteer Committee of Management. Our wonderful volunteers enrich and support all areas of the house. We welcome all volunteers and actively encourage their contribution. Costs are kept as low as possible, and we are able to offer government funded courses at a lower rate. We would love to meet you.

This week we recognise National Reconciliation Week, a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.

National Reconciliation Week encourages all Australians to reflect, listen, learn, and take meaningful action toward building respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

Together, we can help create a more inclusive, connected, and understanding community for everyone.

We are still drifting on these beautiful comments left on our walls during Neighbourhood House Week!

Our members, volunteers, and everyone who visits us too, are just so wonderful - it wouldn't be the same without every single one of you.

As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped celebrate the incredible contribution of our volunteers.
A special thank you to Tony from Rotary, Elsternwick who filled us in on Rotary’s Social Cohesion project. We are always forever grateful to Marshal and the team at RT Edgar for supporting our volunteers though generous gifts of thanks. We were proud to recognise our wonderful volunteers for their years of service. We’d like to thank Angela Coffee, Margaret Baxter and Isabelle McKenzie for 5 years of service. Our special volunteer group went to our incredible ESL Tutors who make a difference every day. And to Julie Hoy and Sally Andrews for our special volunteer’s who go above and beyond.

Thank you to all our volunteers for the time, care, kindness, and community spirit you bring every day. We truly appreciate everything you do.

Today, on National Sorry Day, we pause to acknowledge the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations, and to reflect on the ongoing impacts of past government policies on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This week, the program has focused on Safari animals, with children exploring and learning about different animals through creative experiences and group discussions. As part of a collaborative group project, all the children of all ages have been working together to create a wonderful crocodile. Children have shown great teamwork, creativity and fine motor development while encouraging conversations about animals and their habitat. The children loved Sportsbuzz with Ryan and learning some basketball skills as well as developing their co-ordination, confidence and gross motor skills.
