Saturday 12 September | Kincumber HR Burn.

Our Operational Command Vehicle was out and about supporting the Kincumber HR burn.

When we weren’t busy on the radios in the OCV, our Deputy Captain Chris was also on hand to assist with any unexpected leech-related situations!

📻 Central Coast Communications — keeping the radio traffic flowing… and apparently the leeches at bay! 🪱

A hazard reduction (HR) burn is scheduled for Sunday 13th September. This burn is in the Kariong area and is 23ha in size.

Please only call Triple Zero (000) if you see unattended fire. For more information visit the Hazards Near Me app or the website: www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/hr See less

💛 Today is R U OK? Day. 💛

Take a moment to check in with the people around you — your friends, family and teammates. Because communication and connection matters.

Sometimes we don’t know the impact that an event, situation or difficult experience may be having on someone else. A simple “Are you OK?” can open the door to an important conversation and let someone know they’re not alone.

💛 Look out for each other. Check in. Listen. Encourage. Support one another. 💛

Central Coast Fire Control Centre - Central Coast Communications Brigade 📡

Our Communications Brigade and the District team may have different roles, but, like our two resident magpies in the same building protecting their area, we rely on clear communication, coordination and teamwork to get the job done.

During a bushfire, we rely on each other to ensure the message gets through.

One keeps the information flowing.
The other turns it into action.

🔥 We’ve already seen the devastating impact that bushfires can have – on people and native wildlife. 🔥

It’s important you take the time now to get ready and prepare for bushfires this summer.

🚨Attention all stations, attention all stations.

We’d like to wish a very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads and father figures across our community.

And a special shout-out to our RFS dads — the ones who manage to juggle family, work and volunteering, while still finding the time to jump on the radio or jump on the truck when the community needs them. 📡🚒

Thank you for your time, your dedication and turnout to help keep our community safe. 💙

From all of us at Central Coast Communications — Happy Father’s Day.

Fire Comms, clear.
