Recently our Year 12 VHT students undertook their final cooking challenge "Master Chef", over a period of 8 weeks, paired students created a meal based on the chosen ingredient for the dish.

Starters required the main ingredient to be "flour", the main meal based around "sweet potato" and their final, dessert, based on a "berry".
Both classes impressed the judges for their flair, creativity and sensational taste, worthy to be on TV.

Winner for culinary ex*****on was Taj.

Winners overall for both culinary ex*****on and recipe booklet were Kyah D and Annalise, shown with the Master Chef apron.

Our Year 11 and 12 Early Childhood Studies students had a wonderful time welcoming our local Kindergarten children for a fun-filled Healthy Eating Event!

Through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities, the children explored healthy food choices while learning through play. It was a fantastic opportunity for our senior students to develop their skills in planning and delivering meaningful learning experiences for young children.

A big thank you to our Kindergarten visitors for making the event such a fun and rewarding experience!

Junior Aldridge Volleyball Competition

Last Friday, Isis District State High School travelled to Maryborough to compete in the Junior Aldridge Volleyball Competition!

We had three teams represent our school:
🏐 Boys Division 1
🏐 Girls Division 1
🏐 Girls Division 2

It was a fantastic day filled with great competition, teamwork and plenty of fun! Our students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to compete against other schools and showcase their volleyball skills.

A big thank you to Aldridge State High School for organising and hosting such a great day!

Annual Ball Games Championship 🏆

Well done to all the students who got involved, showed their house spirit and supported their team. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved.

From Tunnel Ball, Captain Ball and Leader Ball it was a great day of friendly competition and house pride.

SILVER DUKE OF ED PRACTICE JOURNEY COMPLETE!

Over the final weekend of the school holidays, five outstanding students showed absolute grit, determination and teamwork to complete their Silver Duke of Ed practice journey, which included a 35 km bike ride from Gayndah to Mundubbera along the Boyne to Burnett Inland Rail Trail!

Battling the incredibly hot and dry North Burnett conditions, they dug deep, supported each other and kept going, making it all the way to the very end.
What makes experiences like this so rewarding is seeing Isis District SHS students discover just how much they are capable of when they commit and push through the tough moments.

A huge THANK YOU to Kevin and Jennifer from Packs n Pedals for supporting us every kilometre of the way! Also, a shout out to Bunnings Bundaberg for providing our team with vests and gloves.

Congratulations Tom, Lisa B, Mykaela, Lisa W and Taylor on your commitment to challenging yourselves and refusing to give up!
