Just an hour and a half from Adelaide, the secluded Clare Valley is an enchanting journey. The region is all about experiencing. You can cycle the famed ‘Riesling Trail’, a 32km corridor, linking quaint towns, restaurants and w**eries; or take a step back in time with a trip to Burra, a township famed for its mining heritage.

We’re thrilled to be bringing our pop-up B**r Garden back to the Clare Show this year!

Join us on Saturday, the 17th of October, for delicious food and drinks, with proceeds from the bar supporting the Clare Lions Club.

Meet Pikes, and pull up a chair at their Picnic Club. 🧺🍷

Out in the quiet Polish Hill River, Pikes is a family-owned w**ery known for its Riesling, its b**r and its generous hospitality. This Sunday, they’re showing a different side of the estate.

The Spring Edition of Pikes Picnic Club is an intimate long lunch at a surprise location on the Polish Hill River Estate. Start with a welcome cocktail, then settle in for a shared feast of fresh spring produce, with plenty of Pikes w**e and b**r as the afternoon unfolds.

Lace up and see the Valley from a different angle. 🥾

The Clare Valley is best known for its food and w**e, but it’s also a brilliant place to walk. The Clare Valley Short Walks are six signposted walks, from easy one-hour strolls to four-hour hikes, taking in heritage towns, native bushland and vineyard-covered hills.

Each one follows part of a well-loved trail: the Heysen, the Lavender Federation and the Riesling Trail, plus Spring Gully Conservation Park. They suit everyone from young families to seasoned walkers, and many pass a cellar door or café along the way, so you can reward yourself at the finish. 🍷☕

At Sawmill Gin, a tasting is never just a pour. Dave talks you through how the gin is made, and how a change of botanical or mixer shifts what you're tasting. By the end of your flight, you'll know a lot more about gin than when you walked in.

Sophie brings the food side to it. She's a chef who came out from England, and among the kitchens behind her is a stint cooking for the Queen Mother. She's modest about it, but the stories are well worth asking for.
