Families are reminded that Tuesday 2nd June is a Staff Development Day and the school will be closed to students.
Our staff will be coming together for professional learning and collaboration focused on improving outcomes for all students. These opportunities are an important part of ensuring we continue to provide high-quality teaching and learning across our school.
We hope our students enjoy an extended long weekend and look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed on Wednesday 3rd June.

Clarkson Community High School is proudly “All In” for National Sorry Day.

On 26 May each year, we acknowledge the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, especially members of the Stolen Generations who were forcibly removed from their families and communities.

Today, students and staff will come together in Kaartdijin Miya to create purple hibiscus flowers — the symbol of National Sorry Day. Chosen by the National Stolen Generations Alliance, the hibiscus represents compassion, healing, resilience and survival.

As part of our reflection, students will consider the question:
“How can we show respect for the Stolen Generations, not just on Sorry Day, but in the choices we make every day?”

As a school community we stand together in support of National Sorry Day and we continue to learn, listen and walk forward with understanding, compassion and respect.

💜 Supporting Mums & Bubs in Need 💜
Our Year 11 Children, Family and Community students are creating care packages for mums and babies escaping domestic violence. These care packages will be donated to Share the Dignity, supporting women and families across Australia.
As part of this meaningful project, students are:
🪵 Designing and building wooden stackable toys in collaboration with Woodwork students
💄 Making handmade lip balms
🧸 Sewing “felt hugs” to provide comfort and care
We are seeking donations of essential items from our community to help fill Adult, Teen, and Mum & Bub bags. Suggested donations include:
🧴 Shampoo & conditioner
🪥 Toothbrushes & toothpaste
🧼 Soap or body wash
🌸 Roll-on deodorant
🧻 Baby wipes & wet wipes
👶 Newborn nappies
🍼 Baby shampoo & baby wash
💜 Period products, breast pads & maternity pads
⚠️ Please ensure all donated items are new, unopened, and in original packaging.

Year 11 and 12 Visual Art students are currently exploring three-dimensional form, investigating both literal and metaphorical ways to represent ideas of self and aspects of identity. Through this process, students are showcasing their creativity while developing personal responses that reflect their individual perspectives, experiences, and ideas.

Today the Year 9 & 10 cohort attended the "One Moment: I Live My Life Without A Knife" presentation by Brett and Belinda Beasley from the Jack Beasley Foundation, who have partnered with the Joondalup District Police to deliver educational sessions across 20 local schools. Brett and Belinda shared their powerful and personal message, educating young people about the serious risks and consequences of carrying a knife in public, following the tragic death of their son, Jack, aged 17 in 2019 as the result of a knife related incident on the Gold Coast. Jack’s legacy has led to ‘Jack’s Law’, which provides WA Police with the authority to conduct edged weapon scans to detect those carrying knives in public. Students were engaged, captivated and genuinely moved by the presentation.
This initiative is a critical step in reducing knife related harm and empowering young people to make safer choices.

🎤 Clarkson’s Got Talent is back!
Join us in the CCHS Performing Arts Theatre on Wednesday 3 June, 4–6pm for an afternoon of amazing student performances. Families are warmly invited to come along and support our talented students!
Students who would like to perform can sign up in Kaartdijin Maya – all acts welcome.

What a fantastic day at our Cross Country run yesterday! We had a great turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many students getting involved, showing determination, and most importantly, having a great time.
A big thank you to our Senior Sports & Recreation and Physical Education Studies students for doing an outstanding job marshaling and supporting the event — we couldn’t have done it without you!
