πŸ“Š Introducing Cobar's New Community & Economic Profiles

Cobar Shire Council is pleased to launch our new online Community Profile and Economic Profile, powered by .id (Informed Decisions).

These interactive tools provide access to demographic, workforce, industry, and economic data for the Cobar Shire, helping Council, businesses, investors, community groups and residents better understand our region and plan for the future.

The profiles offer insights into:
βœ… Population and community trends
βœ… Employment and workforce data
βœ… Local industries and economic performance
βœ… Housing, education, and household information
βœ… Key statistics to support planning, investment, and advocacy efforts

By providing a single, trusted source of information, these profiles will help strengthen grant applications, support strategic planning, and showcase the opportunities that make Cobar a great place to live, work and invest.

🚯 Illegal Dumping. See It. Report It.

Illegal dumping affects our roadsides, reserves and public spaces, and everyone can play a part in keeping Cobar Shire clean.

Through the NSW EPA-funded Cobar Township & Villages Illegal Dumping Baseline Project, we're building a clearer picture of where dumping occurs so we can better target future prevention efforts.

If you see illegal dumping, report it through RIDonline and help protect our community.

πŸ“’ Community Satisfaction Survey Update

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Community Satisfaction Survey and shared their feedback.

As part of the survey process, phone numbers have been selected from third-party databases used by the survey provider, which can occasionally include people who have since moved away from the area.

For those who live in the LGA and have not yet completed the survey by phone and would like to have their say, there is still time. The Community Satisfaction Survey is now available online until 10 September 2026.

We are also aware that some participants have requested a callback. Please be assured that all requested callbacks will be made by the survey team.

Your feedback is important and helps Council apply for grants, understand what is working well, where improvements may be needed, and what matters most to our community.
