Join us for a fun, child-free evening of barefoot lawn bowls, great company, and relaxed vibes — all while supporting our wonderful kinder community.

All proceeds from the door will go directly back to Cockatoo Kindergarten to benefit our children and programs.

Thank you to our wonderful community for your generous fundraising efforts for our kinder.

Your support has allowed our children to enjoy so many special extras, including exciting incursions such as Cranky Christmas Drama Toolbox and Animals of Oz.

We have also been able to offer enriching excursions to the Aquarium and our Emerald Community Day, creating memorable learning experiences beyond the kinder setting.

In addition, your fundraising has helped us purchase new resources, toys and stationery, as well as fully kitted costumes for our Christmas play, “Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney.”

We are so thankful for our wonderful community and the continued support you show our kinder and children. ❤️

🌻Today we met up with Cockatoo Childcare Kindergarten for a fun-filled play session at the park! There was plenty of laughter and excitement as the children enjoyed kicking balls, playing on the equipment, and joining in the parachute games.

It was a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, support the children’s transition to school, and spend time together out in our community.

Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to be part of a nurturing, close-knit community?

Cockatoo Kindergarten is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Casual Educator with 2 part time positions open for 2026 to join our wonderful team!

Nestled among the gums and surrounded by native wildlife, Cockatoo Kindergarten is a friendly, parent-run service committed to providing a safe, caring, and positive environment for all. We take pride in our beautiful natural setting and well-resourced facilities that support children’s learning and development through play, exploration, and connection with nature.

We offer both 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten programs and are looking for a new superstar to work across both groups on a casual basis in Term 4, with the potential for part-time hours in 2026.

As a valued member of our team, you will:

• Work collaboratively with experienced educators to deliver engaging, play-based programs.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

• Assist with daily routines, group times, and learning experiences that foster belonging and growth.

• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds (or is working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

• Has a genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and well-being.

• Is kind, nurturing, and brings a positive, bubbly energy to our team.

• Holds a current Working With Children Check (or is willing to obtain one).

• Can provide two professional references prior to employment.

As part of your induction, you’ll receive a comprehensive introduction to our operational policies, team expectations, and training that reflects our Commitment to Child Safety.

Last night our amazing team enjoyed a wellbeing evening — bonding and relaxing through yoga and guided painting. 🌿🎨

A big thank you to Amber from Sole Frequency and Jess Measer for creating such a calm, inspiring space for us. It was a beautiful opportunity for our educators to unwind, connect, and celebrate each other. 💛

Along the way, we also learnt mindfulness practices, creative techniques, and positive communication strategies for building self-esteem — skills that will help us support children in their wellbeing journey every day.

We’re so grateful for the incredible team who pour their hearts into everything they do!

This week, we welcomed our amazing dads in for a special Father’s Day Pizza Party — a fun-filled afternoon celebrating the important role fathers play in our children’s lives.
Families enjoyed a sweet treat of homemade lemon slice and freshly squeezed lemonade, made using lemons picked straight from our very own kinder lemon tree! 🍋
The children were so proud to share the thoughtful crafts they’ve been working on over the past month, each one designed to celebrate their dads while building fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving in the process.
We’re incredibly grateful to all the families who joined us and contributed to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Your involvement is what makes our kinder community so special.

We are very proud to share that our service was recently reviewed and assessed under the National Quality Standards. Since our last assessment 3 years ago, we have worked hard to continue building on our practices and programs.

We are thrilled to announce that we received an overall rating of Exceeding along with overwhelmingly positive feedback from the assessors.

This is a wonderful recognition of the passion, care and commitment of our team, and we are so grateful for the support of our children, families and community. 💛
