🚒🚒WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT🚒🚒

Last night Cranbourne brigade was joined by a number of brigade's from within Casey alongside staff firefighters from FRV 92 as we did a tour of the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens.

We had a count at the end of the night, we managed to get 26 appliances and support vehicles in attendance.

We cant thank the gardens team enough for this, as it provides us with a behind the scenes look at one of Cranbourne's highest fire risk areas.

Whilst we had the sun set on us about half way through the tour, this provided all Driver's and crew's with an opportunity to navigate in both daylight and night time conditions, keeping us ready for whenever the need comes for us and keeping us Fire ready.

Thankyou to the below Brigades for coming along for our event last night:

See a large convoy of fire trucks driving through Cranbourne? 🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

This evening, Cranbourne alongside FRV and neighbouring brigades are touring the Cranbourne botanical Gardens.

This is to pre plan and look over fuel loads and potential risks within the Gardens.

Rest assured there is no threat and this is just a training exercise.

You remembered to change the clocks…but did you remember the smoke alarms?

While you’re wandering around the house changing the time on everything you own, take an extra couple of minutes to:

🔋 Check those batteries
🔊 Press the test button — make sure it actually goes BEEP!
📅 Check the age of your alarm — if it’s over 10 years old, it’s time for a new one.

Because the only thing worse than losing an hour of sleep is discovering your smoke alarm has decided to take a permanent nap.

Keep yourself and your family safe. Change the clocks. Check the alarms. Keep your home fire ready.

🚒🔥 WHO WILL SMOKE THE COMPETITION TONIGHT? 🔥🚒

It’s Brownlow night… and whether you’re backing Nick or Bont, there’s one thing we can all agree on: Someone is about to SMOKE the competition!

Luckily, Crown Palladium has working smoke alarms… but does your home? 👀🏠

While Nick and Bont battle it out for the Brownlow, make sure your smoke alarms are winning at home!

✅ Test your smoke alarms regularly
🔋 Change batteries every 6 months if required
📅 10 years is the lifespan — if your smoke alarm is older than 10 years, it’s time for a new one!

Because the only thing that should be going off tonight is a Brownlow vote count… not your smoke alarm!

Nick. Bont. Smoke alarm.
Only one of them is guaranteed to save your life. 😉🚒

🔥Melbourne firefighters stair climb🔥

Today some of our members are tackling the firefighters stair climb at Crown metropol.
This is 28 floors of pain wearing our gear and breathing apparatus weighing roughly 28kg.
This is our biggest representation for the event with 13 of our members taking part.

We are so proud of everyone's amazing efforts raising money for this event. The total raised by all brigades and agencies has now exceeded $1m.

Wish us luck 🚒🚒💪🔥🔥

This past Monday July 20th, Cranbourne Fire Brigade hosted a cluster training for ourselves alongside neighbouring brigades and other agencies.
This exercise was a structure fire with reports of multiple people trapped.
This was largely a search and rescue exercise focused on breathing apparatus, search and rescue alongside leadership on the fireground.
This was a fantastic controlled environment for crews to also train using our duress alarms and MAYDAY calls, something we hope will never need to be used in a real world scenario.
This was also an excellent opportunity for us to utilise our friends at SES, assisting with a mobile casualty tent for our crews to place patients into.
We would like to thank Cranbourne Junior Football club for allowing us to use their clubrooms to fill with smoke and giving us a sizeable space to conduct our drill.

We would also like to thank the below Brigades and agencies for assisting with our exercise:

Devon Meadows Fire Brigade
Pearcedale Fire Brigade
Warneet-Blind Bight Fire Brigade CFA
SES Cranbourne Unit
FRV Station 92 & Commander
