NOTE.. All Permits to Light Fire are suspended within the Bundaberg and North Burnett Local Government Areas from 0001 hrs Thursday 10 September 2026 to 23.59 hrs Wednesday 16 September 2026 inclusive. Our crews have been to multiple escaped burns over the last week. This is not the time to be lighting up the landscape. We have been in the Heightened Bushfire Risk period since July...a period in Queensland where we need to respect and not underestimate what fire and smoke can do to our dry landscape and neighbours..

With the weather heating up over the next few days please be mindful if you are using a slasher or power tools outside that a small spark can turn into a fire very quickly. If you are using any of these please have a water source readily available and your phone to call triple 0 if things do get out of control.

If you’re flying a drone near a bushfire, that means our aircraft can’t.

Our crews often need to fly lower than the usual, which means they may be grounded if drones are operating in the area.

We know fires can look impressive from above, but please keep the skies clear so our aerial firefighting units can do what they do best.
