Teachers and school staff are rallying for what they and their students deserve🫡❤️ First strike in 13 years, and hopefully more to come. We all know that the punishers in the Allan government won’t relent easy, and need to be pushed with an escalating campaign.

Why do parts of the left butt heads on Venezuela, Syria, Ukraine and most recently Iran? Some leftists are supportive of resistance against both state oppression and imperialism. Others come out in vocal support of state bureaucrats and their right to repress local protests, claiming that resistance is completely fabricated by the CIA or Mossad.
For the latter, the implication is that people in these countries and in the diaspora can have no credible grievances—at least not grievances that can be resolved while dominant imperialist interests pursue agendas in those countries. How do we understand why parts of the left see brutal states as a part of the resistance to global capitalism? And how does it point to antagonistic strategies pursued by different parts of the left today?

Arc Up stands in solidarity with the working class and oppressed groups in Iran and broader West Asia. It is up to all of us to get organised where we are, and rebuild the class power we need to stop all imperialist and capitalist wars.

This video has been in the works since last year, when the March for Australia protests started kicking off. We debunk the idea that working class standards of living can be improved by preventing “mass immigration”.

Scenes from yesterday’s massive snap action against Herzog. People in Narrm/Melbourne say war criminals can f**k right off! And the Labor Party are spineless as always but what can we expect?

We’re inspired by the historic efforts in Minnesota to fight racialised state terror in the form of ICE, and wanted to analyse what the Jan 23 economic blackout means for unionism here in ‘Australia’. Because fascism preparedness requires a fighting workers movement, we’ve also got some ideas down on organising approaches and goals for rank-and-file unionists🎯

‼️PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE THIS PETITION. Workers at Village and Crown need support with putting pressure on management to PULL THIS EVENT. RAC rally going ahead tonight Thu 29th Jan at 5:30pm, Jeff’s Shed on Clarendon St (opposite Crown Casino)‼️
The stakes are high with One Nation’s increasing popularity, and heightened racial violence especially after reported attacks on mob and migrants on Invasion Day (including a bomb thrown in at Boorloo/Perth). If the screening goes ahead tonight, workers who are q***r and racialised will bear the brunt of the harm.
Petition text:
[UPDATE No 2: After previously cancelling the screen, Village has REVERSED their decision. The screening is NOW GOING AHEAD.
This SPINELESS decision has put a greater target on worker’s backs and imperilled workplace health and safety even more than before.
Tell Village TO PULL THE EVENT NOW]
On Thursday January 29, Village Cinemas Crown Casino in Melbourne is hosting a screening of the One-Nation-endorsed ‘A Super Progressive Movie’, with Pauline Hanson in attendance.
Don’t let Village Cinemas platform hate!
Support workers’ rights to a safe workplace!

Invasion Day Rally Melbourne
Monday 26th Jan
11AM at Parliament House Steps
“January 26 is not a day to celebrate.
It is a day of invasion and a day of survival, resistance, and mourning. It is a day we come together to tell the truth and demand justice.
On Invasion Day, we rally to stand with First Nations peoples across this continent and demand:
-Freedom for our peoples, lands and waters
-Treaty and truth for our old people and for future generations
-Justice for babies and kids so they can grow up safe, loved, and free
An end to deaths in custody, forced removals, and ongoing violence from systems built on invasion
Join us on our annual day of protest for First Nations peoples across this continent.
What to bring:
-Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander flags
-A deadly banner (we see them and love them btw)
-Invite 5 friends and family to come with you”
