As the Seasons begin to shift, it’s a great time for Streamwatch volunteers to head back out to their local waterways and take a closer look at water quality. Changing season can influence many of the conditions we observe with our kits. Capturing data during this period builds a clearer picture of how your waterway responds to seasonal change. Your observations make a meaningful difference in understanding and protecting these ecosystems over time for all wildlife including the Rakali.

To celebrate World Water Day on the 22nd of March Streamwatch has been busy visiting our volunteer groups to see how they are going with their testing! This week we’re spotlighting one of the most important bodies of water in the Sydney Basin, Waragamba dam. How much do you know about the dam? We are also making a call out inviting all of our Streamwatch groups to celebrate World Water Day with us by sharing photos of their groups doing water testing and asking if any groups would like us to come and visit.
