💩 Today, we’re talking about poo!

There’s no shame in talking about poo – it has a story to tell. Its shape, colour and consistency can reveal a lot about what’s happening inside your body.

Behind the Uniform | Gastroenterology
Hear from our Director of Gastroenterology, Kirsty Campbell, about why our poo matters and what it can tell us about our health.

So, don’t just flush and forget – take a look! 🚽💩👀

Bringing lung screening closer to Tiwi communities 🫁

The Heart of Australia lung screening bus recently travelled to Wurrumiyanga, with its onboard CT scanner providing lung health checks for people aged 50 to 70 years.

Clients from Milikapiti and Pirlangimpi were also supported to travel to Wurrumiyanga for screening. 🚌

Clients shared very positive feedback about their experience, describing it as “very good” and saying they felt welcomed, listened to and happy with the care they received.

Their comments also highlighted the value of making health services more accessible in remote areas, with several people saying they would like to see the bus come directly to their community in the future.

A big thank you to Milikapiti, Pirlangimpi and Wurrumiyanga, along with Katherine Coaches and Heart of Australia, for helping make the screening visit a success.

Thank you also to our staff who helped people access the screening and feel supported along the way.✨

💊 Today is World Pharmacists Day!

Behind every medication is the knowledge, care and expertise of pharmacists helping to keep our patients safe and healthy.

Today, we celebrate pharmacists across NT Health and recognise the important work they do every day - to support better health outcomes for our patients and communities.

To mark World Pharmacists Day, NT Health pharmacists Emilie Meier and Siang Cheah share what being a pharmacist means to them and what they value most about their work. 💙
