Congratulations to Australia and the Australian Volunteers Program on 75 years of Australian international volunteering! 🇦🇺🌏

This is a remarkable milestone and one that deserves to be celebrated.

For the Federated States of Micronesia, this partnership with Australia has been part of our journey since 1990. For 36 years, Australian volunteers have worked alongside our people and communities, sharing their knowledge and skills, supporting local capacity, and building lasting friendships and connections.

On behalf of FSM, we are grateful for the many Australian volunteers who have shared their time, experience, and commitment with our communities over the years. Their contributions have made a difference, and the relationships built through these experiences continue to strengthen the friendship between our two countries.

75 years of Australian international volunteering. 36 years of partnership with FSM. 🇦🇺🇫🇲

Congratulations again to Australia and the Australian Volunteers Program on this incredible milestone, and thank you for being a valued partner to FSM since 1990. 🤝🌏

His contributions helped shape the FSM’s foreign policy and elevated the Nation’s standing in the international community.

A Presidential Proclamation declaring a national period of mourning will be issued in the coming days. Details of the state funeral arrangements will also be announced to allow the Nation to come together in honoring the life and service of one of the FSM’s most distinguished leaders.
