Today our Bulldogs Read students celebrated their end of year celebration. They have worked extremely hard to achieve their goal of 125 book reviews at DPS and have had several students recognised as monthly book review winners. A special congratulations to Maxwell who was 1 of 3 students, out the 150 in the program, to win a major prize. He was recognised for his hard work, dedication, and ongoing commitment to the program.

Delacombe Primary School Multicultural Day

22/10/2026

On Wednesday this week, we celebrated the incredible writing of our students with our annual Writers’ Festival. We began with an assembly acknowledging our award winners, followed by a walk through the halls to view the writing and complete the scavenger hunt. We would like to thank our families and local community for their attendance, as it always makes the day even more special for our wonderful kids. We are so proud of each and every student and the hard work and dedication they have shown to their writing! Keep it up DPS!

Congratulations to our School Captains who have led Respect Day for all Year 5 and 6 students. The day includes a dress-up theme, a classroom talent show, guest speakers and collaborative learning activities focused on the impact of our words and the importance of treating others with respect.
Students heard from Adrian from Ballarat Sport Central, who spoke about respect in sport and the workplace, and Naomi from Ballarat City Council, who shared insights into respect within our community and introduced students to the Council’s Art Showcase at the Ballarat Library.
