👋 Our proposed 2026-27 Budget and 10 Year Financial Plan are ready for viewing.
Last year, you told us what matters most – from maintaining and cleaning public spaces, to sporting facilities, parks, open spaces, local roads, and community safety. We’ve used your feedback to shape this plan.
We know the rising cost of living is putting pressure on many of our ratepayers, and every cent counts.
The proposed budget focuses on practical support for our community, while continuing to deliver the services you rely on.
We’ve kept rates in line with the Victorian government’s mandated rate cap, frozen the waste component of the waste service charge, and maintained assistance for ratepayers experiencing financial hardship.
We have continued to carefully manage spending, and as a result have been able to do this while remaining debt-free.

Looks like our nest boxes have residents!
We installed 64 nest boxes across Manningham reserves to help create more habitat where natural tree hollows are limited - wildlife has already started moving in!
We’ve had 12 boxes taken up so far, with gliders, possums and even an Australian Owlet-nightjar calling them home (and more showing signs of interest).
Since tree hollows can take up to a century to form, these boxes provide an important short-term alternative for hollow-dependent species.
It’s exciting to see wildlife already moving in, and we expect more uptake during the coming breeding season.
