Douglas Park Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade is one of over 2200 brigades throughout NSW, that make up the NSW Rural Fire Service. Douglas Park Brigade is wholly staffed by volunteers who provide fire & emergency services to the township of Douglas Park, in the Wollondilly Shire, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

High Fire Danger Rating | Fire Permits Suspended - Monday, 12 October 2026

With forecast dry and windy conditions tomorrow, all fire permits will be suspended for a 24 hour period from midnight tonight across the Wingecarribee Shire Council and Wollondilly Shire Council areas.

If you see a fire without a fire truck in attendance, report it to Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Don't be the fire risk to your community.

Our brigade had the honour of attending the yearly Southern High RFS awards night. We had three of our long serving members recognised for their many years of serving their comunity . Steve Greenwald and Manny Attard for over 30 years received National award clasps plus long service clasps and Jim Roche was a awarded his National award . Special mention to Steve for being awarded the Bill Dunn Leadership award .

“We had a great afternoon supporting the Douglas Park Public School K-2 camp. Along with Menangle Rural Fire Brigade, we ran some engaging activities that taught kids about fire safety and let them experience what it’s like to be a real firefighter!”

Today our brigade held our get ready weekend at the Douglas Park Take away .
A big thank you to Christy and her staff for allowing us to come down .
We hope those that took the time to drop in and say hi learnt something regarding the coming summer and how to prepare their property in case of bush fire .
