Yet again another callout this afternoon. It is getting so dry it only take one spark. Our 51 and 41 responded along with Ballogie. It is getting so dry, everyone needs to be very careful with any fire, it's not the time to burn your rubbish or that pile of sticks. The use of tools, machinery, mowers need extra care. One spark is all it takes. Fire permit suspension has been extended until 5th of October inclusive. Thank you crews for attending. Thanks to support members for the help when we got back to the station.

Just want to put an extra big THANK YOU to our behind the scenes support crew. Doing runs into town to pick up supplies, washing uniforms insuring the crews have clean clothes and for restocking, cleaning and washing the truck ready for the next job. Your dedication to keeping the wheels turning while we are fighting fire is so much appreciated.

Along with numerous other crews, Glencoe sent a crew to do a 12 hour shift at the Teelah fire which has been burning for a number of days. Threatening people properties. With them being evacuated to safer locations as their home were under threat. Upwards of 35 trucks and a number of helicopters/plane waterbombers have been working around the clock. Well done to all crews working this fire. To Glencoe thank you so very much for supporting the Teelah fire. It was so good to be able to support Teelah as well as still protect our patch with our 41 we now have. I can't stress enough how dry our conditions are and along with this wind one spark would be all it needs to start a fire. So please be very careful using tools, machinery or mowers. Please hold off having any type of fire that is unnecessary. Check out the comments for a video they took last night.

We were called back to the Proston Boondoomba Road fire. It had jumped containment lines. It was a difficult fire to control, unpredictable winds, high fuel and poor access. We had 8 Rural units, 4 urbans units, 1 front end loader, locals and two water bombers It took 8 hours of hard work to contain this fire. Everyone worked hard today, it was great team work by all. Back at it tomorrow for Glencoe. Rest up everyone we all deserve it.
