🏌️ QMRS Employees Taking on The Longest Day! ⛳

On 18 November, QMRS employees Garrett Thompson, Brent Stewart and Clint Battese will be swapping work boots for golf shoes to take on Cancer Council’s The Longest Day.

The challenge is simple to explain, but perhaps not so simple to complete - 36 to 72 holes of golf in a single day!

It’s all for an important cause, raising funds to support cancer research, prevention programs and support services for Australians impacted by cancer.

QMRS is proud to support our employees getting behind a great cause and taking on the challenge together.

If you’d like to support Garrett, Brent and Clint and help make every hole count, donations can be made through their fundraising page:

Every donation and bit of encouragement will help - particularly once the legs get tired and the golf starts getting questionable! ⛳

Good luck, team! 💪

🔥Site-wide fire response training at BMA’s Broadmeadow Mine

Queensland Mines Rescue Service is working with Broadmeadow Mine to deliver consistent fire response training across its workforce.

The program gives workers practical guidance on fire hazards, emergency response actions, evacuation requirements and their responsibilities during a fire event.

By scheduling training across crews and work areas, Broadmeadow is strengthening emergency preparedness while minimising disruption to operations.

The training will also form part of the mine’s ongoing workforce development and compliance planning, supported by training records and refresher requirements.

Thank you to Broadmeadow’s Compliance and Training Coordinators and the QMRS trainers involved in delivering the program.
