⚖️Students in 3D have been using scales to measure and compare mass. They enjoyed exploring the classroom to find objects that weighed less than, about, and more than one kilogram. They also had great fun using clay to create a 1-gram ball and a 1-kilogram ball, helping them develop a better understanding of the difference in mass. What great fun they had learning about mass!

🧬3/4M and 4K started the term learning together in Science, exploring vertebrate and invertebrate animals and the human spine. Students created their own models using different materials to help them understand how the spine supports our body and how vertebrates have a backbone, while invertebrates do not.

3/4M continued to explore millimetres, centimetres and metres. Students used 1-metre measuring tapes to measure the distance of their jumps, practising how to measure accurately and record their results using the correct units of measurement.

A glimpse into K/1C in Term 3.

To wrap up the Stage 3 Science unit, 5/6P excitedly shared their electrical quiz games with 3/4M; who became their very first game testers!

It was fantastic to see 5/6P proudly share their creations and explain how their electrical circuits worked. They loved watching others play the games they had designed and created, and it was wonderful to see such a practical and meaningful use of their learning.

A huge shout-out to Miss Mai and the fabulous students of 3/4M for their enthusiasm, willingness to participate and lovely words of praise for our game designers.

As part of our Stage 3 Science unit, 5/6P students have been busy putting their learning into action by designing and creating their very own quiz games using electrical circuits!

From the very beginning, students were engaged, enthusiastic and inquisitive, working together to plan their designs, construct their game boards, develop questions and set up their circuitry.

There were plenty of challenges along the way, but our students showed incredible persistence and determination as they worked to understand the wiring, troubleshoot problems and make improvements to their designs. They supported one another, shared ideas, solved problems and took great pride in ensuring their finished games were both functional and neatly presented.

It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, creativity and teamwork shine throughout this learning experience. We are incredibly proud of the effort and commitment they have shown!

Well done, 5/6P — you should be very proud of yourselves!
