💕 A Special Little Visitor at El A! 👶🩷

What a lovely surprise it was to have Ms V drop into our Senior Class to introduce our students to her beautiful new daughter, Eleanor Anne Maria Churchill! 🥰

Little Eleanor made her arrival during the recent school holidays, and it was so special to have Ms V back for a visit and share this exciting moment with us. 💐

A huge congratulations to Ms V, Lachie and big sister Mabel on their gorgeous new addition! We wish your growing family a lifetime of love, laughter and precious memories together. 💛🐝

🌟 A HUGE congratulations to Seth Henderson in Year 3, who has achieved SECOND PLACE nationally in the 2026 Healthy Soils Competition! 🌟

Seth was awarded Runner Up in the Years 3 & 4 category of the Soil Matters: Its Importance to Our Food and Environment competition! 🌱🌏

Using his creativity, digital skills and knowledge of the importance of healthy soil, Seth designed an engaging educational game and colourful posters to teach others about the vital role soil plays in growing our food, protecting our environment and supporting our future.

The competition organisers were particularly impressed by Seth's creativity, enthusiasm and innovative use of AI to make learning about soil both informative and fun! 💻🎨

💙💛 A very special thank you to Ms Charlene Reid, who generously volunteered her time after school to work with our students on their competition presentations. Your dedication, encouragement and willingness to share your time and expertise are greatly appreciated!

🌟 Seth, we are incredibly proud of your achievement on the national stage! You have certainly demonstrated The El A Way by giving your best, embracing Digital Innovation and sharing your learning with others. 👏🐝

✨🎨 Exploring Light Through Science and Art! 🌟

This term, our P–2 learners have been experimenting with light in Science and extended their learning by exploring how artists capture and represent light in their artwork. We took inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night, looking closely at the swirling skies, glowing stars and beautiful use of colour to bring light to life. 🌙💫

The students loved making connections between their scientific discoveries and artistic expression, using their creativity and imagination to explore how light can be seen, represented and interpreted in different ways.

What a wonderful way to combine Science and Art! 🎨🔦✨
