Our Year 7โ9 Sport and Health Science Academy students recently took part in their Curriculum Day, centred around Teamwork, Leadership and Performance Experience ๐โโ๏ธ๐ช
Throughout the day, students challenged themselves through a range of fitness activities, team-building challenges and a HYROX-style fitness circuit, developing resilience, communication and collaboration skills along the way.
In the afternoon, students rotated through specialised sessions focused on recovery, wellbeing and personal growth. This included ice baths and compression boot recovery with P3 Recovery HQ , breathwork and stretching sessions, as well as goal setting and reflection activities.
To finish the day, students were inspired by a Q&A session with players Indie Bostock, Torah Ladaka and Lailani Montgomery . We are incredibly grateful they took time out of their busy schedules to share their journeys, experiences and advice with our students.
A fantastic day of learning, leadership and growth for our Academy students! ๐๐

Our Year 9 eSTEM students recently attended Sea World - Gold Coast, Australia to participate in the Marine Investigators program, exploring the complexity and importance of reef ecosystems. Students investigated how marine ecosystems consist of interconnected and interdependent organisms, examining the relationships that allow these environments to survive and thrive.
As part of the experience, students took part in the Tropical Reef Snorkel Program, where they collected observational data firsthand while immersed within the reef environment. This authentic learning experience allowed students to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, formulate scientific questions for investigation, and deepen their understanding of marine biodiversity, sustainability and ecosystem interactions.

Our High School Readiness Year 6 students experienced a taste of our Sport Academy late last term. Through a range of engaging activities, students developed teamwork, movement skills and confidence in a fun, active environment.
It was great to see the energy, effort and support shown throughout the session. Experiences like these give students the opportunity to build new friendships, strengthen their communication skills and gain an insight into the exciting academy pathways available at Elanora State High School. A huge thank you to Community Bank Tugun for their ongoing support of this program.
