Empire Bay Rural Fire Brigade Looking for help with your Fire Survival Plan, or interested in becoming a member? We are at station every Tuesday night, 7:30-9:30pm. Drop in and say hi!

Situated on the stunning Central Coast, we have a very friendly and dedicated crew who thoroughly enjoy protecting, and engaging with, our local communities. We cover both suburbs of Empire Bay and Bensville, primarily responding to bush fires. We also deal with structural fires and motor vehicle accidents. On occasion, we help other agencies including NSW Ambulance and Fire & Rescue NSW. Got a question? It can be on anything - bushfire survival plans, hot to prepare your property, permits, static water supplies, even asking about how we work in emergency situations, or about attending an info session at a local event or institution. Shoot us a message and we will help you out in any way we can!

Today marks the official start of the bush fire season, with the Bush Fire Danger Period beginning on the Central Coast.

If you’re planning on conducting a burn, you’ll require a fire permit from your local Fire Control Centre or brigade. Fire permits help ensure fire is used safely and reduces the danger to you, your property and the community.

Residents and land holders must know the rules when it comes to the use of fire. Along with having the required fire permits, you need to notify your local fire authority and neighbours of your intent to burn at least 24 hours in advance.
