This event is FREE for 12-25 year olds and is drug, smoke, alcohol and v**e free with no pass outs.

If you’re 18 - 25 years old, have a strong connection to Footscray, and want to grow your leadership skills, build new connections, and turn community ideas into action this program is for you!

Over 11 sessions (August–November 2026), you will:
✨ Explore community development and leadership
✨ Learn about civic participation and creating change
✨ Build action-planning skills
✨ Strengthen your understanding of First Nations knowledge
✨ Work with others to plan and deliver a real community project

Led by local community development practitioner Helen Rodd from Hot House Community Projects.

We’re excited to unveil a bold new artwork transforming the façade of Artsbox, the artist residency studio outside Footscray Library. Designed and painted by Melbourne-based multidisciplinary artist Drez. Emerging from graffiti and graphic design, Drez's practice dissolves boundaries between object and observer, gallery and street. The result is a striking, site-specific landmark that energises the space around Footscray Library and reflects Artsbox’s role as a catalyst for experimentation, connection, and shared artistic expression.

🤗We have a great mix of free activities, workshops, events and ongoing programs designed to help young people connect, learn new skills and have fun.

⛹️All activities are designed for young people aged 12–25, who live, study, work or socialise in the City of Maribyrnong.

The Maribyrnong Youth Holiday Programs are back, offering exciting activities for young people aged 12–17 who live, work, study, or spend time in the City of Maribyrnong.

We’re proud to offer inclusive programs suitable for young people with independent mobility and low to moderate support needs.
