In recognition of World Stress Month, one of our in-school Youth Workers recently delivered a workshop focused on supporting young people to better understand and manage stress. 🧘‍♀️

The session encouraged students to take a moment to pause and breathe, while exploring practical coping strategies to help reduce stress in everyday life. They also shared valuable helplines and resources available to support young people during highly stressful times. 🧡

Creating space for these conversations is so important, and it’s great to see young people engaging with tools that support their wellbeing. 🌿

We were proud to attend the Le Mana Empower Pasifika Project roundtable, hosted by the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) .

Thank you to CMY for bringing together community leaders, organisations and government to have important conversations around the needs and priorities of Pasifika young people in Melbourne’s west.

It was great to join Steve McGhie and Luba Grigorovitch as part of this important discussion.

It was valuable to be part of a space that centres the voices of young people and strengthens collaboration across the sector to better support our young people and communities. 🧡

Celebrating the wins both big and small. 💫👏

This photo may look like a simple selfie, but it represents six months of commitment, resilience, and growth. Behind it is a YSS client who has worked consistently toward her goals, staying engaged and determined even when faced with challenges along the way.

With the support of her Youth Worker, she has achieved everything she set out to do—showing strength, courage, and an ability to keep moving forward.

At the end of their final session, she said it best: “I feel amazing.”

Moments like these are a powerful reminder of what can be achieved with the right support and self-belief. 🧡

Happy National Volunteer Week 2026! 💛

This week, we celebrate the incredible volunteers who generously give their time, energy and compassion to support the Les Twentyman Foundation and the young people we work with every day.

Coaching our Braybrook 96ers Basketballers, sorting donations, packing book packs and lending a hand wherever needed — our volunteers make a real and lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people across our community.

Your kindness, dedication and willingness to show up never goes unnoticed. Thank you for helping create brighter futures and for being such an important part of what we do.
We are so grateful for every single one of you. 🌟

A huge thank you to Tobin Brothers for once again inviting us to be part of the wonderful Community Raceday at the Werribee Racing Club. 🐎🧡

We were honoured to once again have Race 6 named in memory of our founder, ‘The Les Twentyman OAM Memorial’, helping bring awareness to his incredible legacy and life’s work.

Congratulations to Dragon Scroll on an impressive win, a bright future ahead for this talented filly and a fantastic result for trainer Clayton Douglas and jockey Beau Mertens! ✨

Tobin Brothers have been incredible supporters of the Les Twentyman Foundation over the years, and we are so grateful for their ongoing generosity, kindness, and commitment to young people in need. They were great friends of Les Twentyman OAM and continue to be great friends of ours. 🧡

One of our in-school Youth Workers has been busy delivering empowering workshops for young women. 💫

These sessions encourage students to take time for self-reflection while building positive behaviours and healthy relationships. The girls explored understanding emotions, expressing feelings, using positive body language, and the importance of kindness.

Our Youth Worker shared that the workshop was a great success, with the girls fully engaged from start to finish:
“A group of 10 Year 8 girls came in with such anticipation and excitement, and they left with that same energy.”

It’s inspiring to see young people embracing these conversations and growing their confidence. 🌸

Today, we pause to celebrate all the incredible mums, grandmothers, and mother figures who shape lives with love, care, and strength. 💐🧡

At the Les Twentyman Foundation, we work with many young people who haven’t always had a traditional family or mother by their side. That’s why today, we also recognise the teachers, carers, aunts, mentors, friends, and community members who step up with open hearts.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate, remember, and give thanks to all those who make a difference — in ways both big and small. 💕

Join us in sharing love and gratitude today, with whoever “mum” means to you.
