What's next after school? Tips for parents and carers

Not every young person knows what they want to do after school, and that's OK!

If your teenager is still exploring their options, encourage them to talk about their interests, look into different career pathways and gain practical experience wherever possible.

Apprenticeships and traineeships are one option, allowing young people to earn while they learn and build skills in the workplace.

Want to learn more? CCGT is hosting a free Career Information Night for school finishers, parents and carers on Wednesday 11 November, 6–7pm at Mingara Recreation Club.

Hear from current apprentices, trainees, local employers and the CCGT team, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
