Modern mental health reminders 🌿

Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health.
It's okay to rest before you burn out.
Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Progress isn't always linear β€” and that's okay.
You don't have to have it all figured out today.

At The Waratah Centre, our team is here to support you β€” whatever that looks like for you.

🌿 Clinical Naturopathy

At The Waratah Centre, naturopathy is about looking beyond the symptom and taking the time to understand the whole picture.

As a Clinical Naturopath, Jewel takes an evidence-informed, individualised approach to your health β€” considering nutrition, digestion, hormones, sleep, stress, lifestyle and other factors that may be contributing to how you're feeling.

✨ No quick fixes.
✨ No one-size-fits-all plans.
✨ No judgement.

Instead, we work together to understand what's happening in your body and develop a personalised plan that supports your health goals.

Your care may include nutritional strategies, herbal medicine, lifestyle recommendations, evidence-based supplementation, pathology interpretation and collaboration with other practitioners where appropriate.

Whether you've been navigating a longstanding health concern, feel like something is simply β€œoff” or want to be more proactive about your wellbeing β€” you're welcome here.

β€œThey just don’t want to go to school.”

Sometimes that’s what it looks like from the outside.

But β€œschool can’t” can show up in much quieter ways such as exhaustion, physical symptoms, avoidance, emotional outbursts, morning battles or completely falling apart once they get home.

These behaviours aren't necessarily a sign of defiance.

They can be signs that a child is struggling to regulate in response to demands that feel overwhelming.

The question isn't simply: β€œHow do we get them to go?”
It can also be: β€œWhat is making school feel so hard right now?”

Understanding the why behind the behaviour can change the way we respond, from punishment and pressure towards curiosity, support and appropriate intervention.

If you're noticing these signs in your child, you're not failing as a parent.

Most times their behaviour is communication.

5 things spring 🌼 is quietly asking of you.

Not to reinvent yourself.
Not to start another 30-day challenge.
Not to become the most β€œoptimised” version of yourself.

Maybe just to move a little more, get outside, eat something colourful, slow down, and pay attention.

To the morning light.
To what your body is asking for.
To what feels good.
To what no longer does.

Spring can be a reminder that wellbeing doesn't always come from adding more.
Sometimes it comes from making space. 🌱

Save this for the days you need a softer reminder.
