Geeveston Primary School offers a passionate, dedicated and experienced staff who support all our students to reach their full potential. We have many purpose built learning spaces, including a separate kindergarten area, a gym, library, teaching kitchen, computer lab, art room, teaching garden and expansive playgrounds and play areas. The variety of teaching spaces provide enormous opportunities for our K-6 students who are involved in a number of programs that enhance their classroom learning including the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, Premier's Reading Challenge, the Song Room music lessons and visiting coaches for a number of sports. These activities are conducted in an environment that fosters growth, encouragement and a sense of achievement for all students. We also run a weekly Launching into Learning (LIL) program aimed at learners aged Birth to 5 years and their parents/carers. This program offers a unique opportunity for children to engage in play based learning within the school environment allowing the smooth transition to school. Please call the office on (03) 6297 1336 to book a tour of our beautiful school.

Our annual French Day was so much fun! We had mime artists, Monet, Marie Antoinette, Anne Boleyn, French soccer players and Jacqueline Auriol (France’s first female test pilot) turn up for the day. The students created a buffet of French food for everyone to share and it was delicious. The presentations at assembly were wonderful and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students in their French lessons. Thank you everyone for your continued support to make our school amazing and thank you to Ms VanKlink and Wendy for making today so fabulous.

Congratulations to our students who have gained prestigious awards for their self-portraits in the 2026 Young Archies Awards. Students throughout Tasmania enter this competition and, due to the hundreds of entries, it is very rare for schools to have one successful student. This year, we have two!

Families are welcome to visit the Young Archies Exhibition at the UTAS School of Creative and Performing Arts on Hunter Street, Hobart. The exhibition is open this week and on the weekend.
