Last night, we brought our members together at Drift & Wood Restaurant in Agnes Water for our 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗘𝗚𝗠), where we're pleased to share that both Special Resolutions were passed, including the change to our registered company name and the adoption of a new Constitution.

Members also heard from GAPDL CEO Dee Dalton, who provided an update on the organisation, while Gracie from Drift & Wood shared some exciting news about the business and what's ahead!

Following the formalities, it was wonderful to catch up and connect with our members over some networking and refreshments.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, both in person and online, and to the team at Drift & Wood for hosting us.

The Gladstone Region has touched down in the Top End for 𝗚’𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! ✈️

Hosted by Tourism Australia.com in partnership with Tourism and Events NT, this exciting event brings together 300 Aussie Specialist Agents from around the world and approximately 130 Australian tourism operators.

It's three big days of connecting, networking and showcasing the incredible experiences Australia has to offer! 🇦🇺

We're excited to be flying the flag for the Gladstone Region and Southern Great Barrier Reef, putting our slice of paradise on the radar of international travel specialists. 🪸🌴

Our little corner of Queensland is stealing the spotlight again! 🌅📺

This time, 1770 Liquid Adventures took WHATS UP Downunder Australia out on the water for a sunset paddle in the beautiful Town of 1770, with presenter Felicity Palmateer along for the adventure! 🛶

And with sunsets like these, it's not hard to see why our region is getting some national attention. 😍

A big shout-out to the team at 1770 Liquid Adventures for showcasing just how special this part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef really is! 💙

Helping our tourism operators put their best foot forward!

We recently welcomed local tourism operators to the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 in Gladstone, where they gained practical insights and strategies to strengthen their businesses and take the next step towards Best of Queensland recognition.

Facilitated by Susan Maynard from Connect Tourism, the workshop explored ways to enhance visitor experiences, strengthen digital presence and improve Best of Queensland results.

A big thank you to Susan for sharing her expertise and to all the operators who joined us and continue to strive for excellence in our region's tourism industry! 👏

The workshop was proudly delivered in partnership with the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI), as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting and strengthening the Gladstone Region’s tourism industry.
