Hi Everyone

As we move into warmer weather we are also heading to the official start of the Bushfire Season and our Get Ready Weekend, we would like to remind our community that a well-prepared home can be easier for you or firefighters to defend.

A cleared area around your home reduces your risk and means fire is less likely to spread to your neighbours’ homes.

For our upcoming Get Ready Weekend on September 19/20, we are reminding everyone to:

- Trim overhanging trees and shrubs
- Mow grass and remove the cuttings
- Remove material that can burn around your home
- Clear leaves and debris from your gutters
- Prepare a sturdy hose or hoses
- Have a fireplan in place
