👍🏊 Thumbs up for swimming! 🏊👍

Our P–2 students finished Term 3 with daily swimming at Ford Swim Centre, building their confidence and learning valuable water safety and swimming skills. 💦

Plenty of fun was had by all, although the holiday exhaustion definitely arrived right on cue! 😴

A huge thank you to Mrs Walker for organising this fantastic program and helping our students develop such important lifesaving skills. 👏

We finished the term with a bang with Footy Colours Day and our annual Staff vs Grade 6 footy match! 🏉

After a hard-fought battle, the staff came away with the win… although we’re not entirely sure how. The Grade 6s definitely knew the rules better, ran faster and played a much cleaner game, so we’re putting the result down to experience and absolutely nothing else 🙊

A huge effort from everyone and a very entertaining way to finish the term!

Over the past 10 weeks, eight Grade 5/6 girls have participated in the Girls as Leaders in STEM (GALS) program, run in partnership with Deakin University and Morwell Tech School.

Working in groups, the girls developed ideas, researched solutions and created prototypes around real-world issues, including farmers’ mental health, toxins in clothing and reducing clothing waste.

Last Tuesday, the girls presented their projects and demonstrated their prototypes to family and friends. Their research and solutions will also be on display at Traralgon Centre Plaza over the next two weeks.

Congratulations to all of the girls on their fantastic work and success! 👏
