Today was the official day for Clean Up Australia Day and some of the Riverlands Labor Branch turned out at Tallowwood Park, Highland Reserve for our ALP Riverlands Branch Clean Up Australia Day event.
It was pretty impressive with how well the park is kept but we still managed to fill quite a few bags with some interesting rubbish and shared some laughs with each other and the local community who were pleased to see us out there 🤗

This week the Australian Unemployed Workers' Union, along with other community groups, stood proudly alongside Owen Lockett, a Logan local and Disability Support Pension (DSP) recipient, at the Beenleigh ‘Fix Centrelink’ community action.
This 3 day event was Owen’s idea and was held opposite the local Centrelink office and supported by the local community.
