TMC was proud to join multicultural representatives at the launch of the National Child Safety Campaign, One Talk at a Time.

Funded by the National Office for Child Safety, this important initiative is Australia’s first national awareness campaign focused on preventing child sexual abuse through education, awareness, and open conversations.

The training was facilitated by Cultural Perspectives Group and highlighted the vital role that communities, families, and organisations play in creating safer environments for children. By increasing awareness and encouraging meaningful conversations, we can all contribute to protecting children and promoting their wellbeing.

Together, we can make a difference, one talk at a time.

TMC proudly commenced Refugee Week by hosting a special morning tea and information display to raise awareness of the experiences, contributions and resilience of refugees in our community.

Staff and visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the significance of Refugee Week, hear powerful personal and family stories of refugee journeys and come together in a welcoming space of reflection, understanding and connection.

Refugee Week is an important opportunity to recognise the courage and strength of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, persecution or violence. It also reminds us of the value that refugees bring to our communities through their skills, cultures, experiences and contributions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in commemorating this important week and helping to foster a more inclusive, welcoming, and connected community.

🎉 Congratulations to TMC Learning2Drive participant, Magdalene Adeleye, on obtaining her driver’s licence! 🚗✨

This is a fantastic achievement and another wonderful example of the positive outcomes made possible through the Learning2Drive program. Gaining a driver’s licence opens doors to greater independence, employment opportunities, and community participation, and we couldn’t be happier for Magdalene as she reaches this important milestone.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteer mentors who generously give their time, patience, and support to help participants build their driving skills and confidence. Your contribution truly changes lives.

Special thanks also to Melrose, whose passion, dedication, and commitment continue to make the Learning2Drive program such a success. The ongoing achievements of our participants are a testament to the incredible work happening behind the scenes.

We are incredibly proud of Magdalene and look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes next. Congratulations once again! 🌟👏
