TMC was delighted to attend the Multicultural Social Network Annual Eid Dinner, an evening filled with wonderful company, meaningful conversations, and even better food.
Events like these are a beautiful reminder of the strength that comes from bringing people together to celebrate culture, community, and shared experiences. We always value the opportunity to connect with community leaders, partners, and friends while celebrating the diversity that makes our communities so vibrant.

TMC had a fantastic time attending MEGT’s “Plan Your Future” Education Information Day yesterday 🎉
It was a fun and engaging event where we had the pleasure of sharing a table with our friends at Aurora, connecting with MEGT participants and welcoming some of the amazing new staff who have recently joined their incredible team.
We always love seeing familiar faces, building new connections and being part of events that bring the community together in such a positive and supportive way. Thank you to MEGT for having us and creating such an inviting space filled with opportunities, conversations and smiles 😊

Today is National Sorry Day.
A day to acknowledge the strength, resilience and courage of the Stolen Generations and to reflect on the ongoing impact of past government policies that caused deep grief, loss and trauma for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.
At Thriving Multicultural Communities, we recognise the importance of listening, learning and walking together on the journey of truth-telling, healing and reconciliation. National Sorry Day reminds us all of the importance of respect, understanding and creating a future grounded in unity and compassion.
As National Reconciliation Week begins, we encourage our community to take time to reflect, acknowledge history and continue working towards a more inclusive and united Australia for all.

Yesterday, Thriving Multicultural Communities had the opportunity to promote our valuable government-funded services at Griffith University alongside some of the incredible Master of Social Work students.
It was wonderful connecting with future social workers who are soon to graduate and begin making a positive impact within our communities. We enjoyed sharing information about the support services TMC provides, as well as highlighting other organisations and community resources available across the region.
Thank you to the students and staff at Griffith University for the warm welcome and meaningful conversations throughout the day. We look forward to continuing to work together to support stronger and more connected communities.

An absolute honour and privilege for TMC to attend and be part of the Forde Multicultural Awards Night! A wonderful evening celebrating the individuals and organisations making a lasting impact across our diverse community.
Hosted annually by Rowan Holzberger MP, the Multicultural Awards Night brings communities together to recognise outstanding cultural contributions, community spirit, and dedicated service throughout the electorate.
We are especially proud to acknowledge TMC Executive Director Anna Zubac, who was presented with the Lifetime Legacy Award in recognition of her outstanding dedication and long-standing contribution to the community. TMC was also pleased to have SQW Project Officer Indira Salkic attend the evening.
A heartfelt thank you to Rowan for his warm hospitality, to the organisers for their tireless work in delivering such a successful event, and to the respected community leaders and members whose presence made the evening truly special.
Congratulations to all award recipients and nominees. Thank you for your remarkable commitment and contribution towards building a stronger, more inclusive, and vibrant community.
