Yet another great week over. 🌞It’s been a bit slow on the recoveries, I think a lot of people don’t know that there are a few Recovery Services available and a search needs to be organised as soon as the item is lost, a week later is not ideal in a popular location. There are a lot more treasures hunters 👨‍🦯‍➡️than reputable recovery services. Example: Sunday afternoon there was 4 detectorist between the life guard tower and the pavilion Burleigh Heads south, no wonder I don’t hunt there myself.
Back to this weeks recoveries, funny how you get a run on particular items more charms lost from a broken necklace 4 in total lost 3 found and returned to the very great full owner 😁love that smile👍

😢The week started looking for Dylan’s wedding ring on Burleigh beach with no success, I believe it has been picked up by a walker or another detectorist.
😆We then got a call to Runnaway Bay to find Harry’s wedding ring lost the water, after a short search he had it back on his finger.
😆😢On the way back a message came through for 2 lost rings at Nobbys beach, Hannah carefully put them them in her cotton top on her towel and went for a swim…yes you what normally happens. A search was arranged with meet up the next morning. 1 ring was found within minutes and after extensively searching the area three times the second ring was not there….very unusual?.???.. again possibly sitting on top and visible to a walker to see and pick up.
😢late afternoon a call came from Steve who lost his wedding ring while paddle boarding in the swimming enclosure on Jabiru Island, we headed up the the following morning and got some possible search areas from Steve. I went waist to chest deep and Dave ventured neck deep after searching for over 2 hours we had to call Steve and let him know we were unsuccessful in finding it.
So as you see it’s not always the outcome we or the owners hope for.
It’s always worth looking though and we do our vey best.

This weather is sensational this time of year, beautiful beach days bearable nights.
This week we have been busy looking for some very sentimental items for Katie ( photo 1 ) she was sitting in knee deep water playing with her son when she realised her necklace and two pendants was gone. We were on the job the next day at low tide and found the pendants but the chain necklace is still missing ( in Meatloafs words 2out of ain’t bad ) but we would really like to get the chain returned as Katie has been wearing it for 21 years.
( this was lost on the beachfront Runnaway Bay Area )

Mike ( visiting from Sunshine Coast) lost his wedding ring at Rainbow Bay Saturday and called us Sunday morning to arrange a search Monday I asked for the details and decided to go straight away Sunday 8 am, well we all know what parking is like at Rainbow at the best of times let alone Nippers and the flags set up in the area I needed to search “ Abort Abort “ try again this afternoon, the crowd was still there 4.30pm so I waited and as each cabana was packed up I quickly searched that spot after an hour I thought Monday sounds like a good idea, I turned and started toward the access track and bam bam his ring was in the scoop.

What a great weekend here on the Gold Coast, plenty of sunshine, water temp around 26 degrees. Why wouldn’t there be thousands of people at the beaches. I’m sure there has been items lost but some people don’t know who to call. We at Goldcoastringfinders 0411037984 can usually get to you within the hour just like we did Celia called when her husband’s ring disappeared into the sand when they left the beach, within and hour of the call it was back where it belonged.
