Bethany was honored to support Easter United at Broadwater Parklands on Sunday, 20th April 2025.

It was a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, family fun, delicious food trucks, a dedicated kids' zone, vibrant marketplace stalls, and incredible live performances. The event culminated in a powerful Celebration Service, where churches from across the Gold Coast came together to remind the community that there is always hope and no one walks alone.

We hope you are all staying safe during these challenging weather conditions. Due to the ongoing flooding and road closures, our office will remain closed until further notice. Additionally, we regret to inform you that the BC Club program scheduled for tomorrow 11/03 has been cancelled for the safety of our participants, families, and staff.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these unexpected circumstances. The well-being of our community is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. We will provide further updates as soon as possible regarding the reopening of our office and the resumption of programs.

We are thrilled to announce that Bethany Care's annual camp is in a few months, and we would love for you to join us! This year, we’ll be heading to the beautiful Lennox Head and staying at Camp Drewe for three nights. Our annual camp is a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends, enjoy fun activities, and create lasting memories. We have planned a variety of exciting activities and events that we’re sure you’ll enjoy.

Here are some important details:

• Dates: 7th to 10th October 2025
• Location: Camp Drewe, Lennox Head
• Cost: $600 (includes accommodation, activities, and meals)

For those living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) or independently, you will need to cover the cost of accommodation, activities, and meals. An invoice will be sent to you upon registration, and we offer payment plans to make it easier. Your support costs can still be covered using the Community Participation (CP) funding in your NDIS Plan.

If you are living at home with a family member and have Short Term Accommodation (STA) funding in your NDIS Plan, this will cover the cost of accommodation, activities, and meals. If you have any questions or need assistance with the registration process, please feel free to reach out. We’re here to help and can’t wait to see you at the camp!

🚗 LIGHT VEHICLES FOR COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS INITIATIVE - Congratulations!!

As resolved by Council in December, the Light Vehicles for Community Organisations Initiative will provide 48 vehicles to 47 community organisations under a 12-month agreement. These are used vehicles not currently needed in the Council fleet.

Club BC Thursday wrapped up the week in style with a delightful Christmas lunch that brought everyone together in the holiday spirit. The event was filled with delicious food, laughter, and plenty of festive cheer, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear the sounds of camaraderie throughout the gathering. A fantastic time was had by all, making it a perfect way to celebrate the season. Here's to more great moments like this in the future!

Bethany Bowling Awards. A big thank you to everyone who participated in bowling this year! Whether you were working on improving your skills, enjoying friendly competition, or simply having fun with teammates, your dedication and enthusiasm made this season memorable. A special congratulations goes out to all our award winners—you truly earned it with your outstanding performance and effort.
