Thiele Library School library for Golden Grove High School on a shared campus with Pedare Christian College and Gleeson College.

Renovated in late 2018, Thiele Library's design aims to provide a comfortable study space that promotes independent learning and reading as well as inquiry based learning. Thiele Library is now a learning space for all Golden Grove High School students and staff. It provides a range of print and digital resources, is supported by qualified Teacher Librarian and library staff and is open to students before school, break times and after school until 4.00pm, depending on the supervision availability.

The Book Week theme 2027, and therefore also our Book Cup theme, Catch the Reading Bug! https://www.thielelibrary.website/book-cup.html

🥁🥁🥁 Drum roll! Drum roll! Ta, da! 🥁🥁🥁

The 2027 CBCA Book Week theme is Catch the Reading Bug, illustrated by award-winning creative Danny Snell.

This is an the kind of extremely contagious bug you actually want to catch 🪰

So, what do you think would happen if you caught the reading bug? Well, it goes without saying that if you catch the reading bug, you develop a healthy fascination with books and reading. But surprisingly (and this is a little-known fact), you may also grow wings, just like the mysterious Reading Bug.

So, pick up a book and see if you can catch the reading bug. You never know ... you might also grow a beautiful set of wings to transport you somewhere special 🧚‍♂️🧚🧚‍♀️

We're looking forward to celebrating CBCA Book Week with you again in 2027!

A huge thank you to our library staff, English teachers, school leaders, Year 2 Audience Members, special guests and generous prize donors — and to every student who participated. 👏📚

Special thanks to author Adam Cece - Author for inspiring our students at our Book in a Day Workshop earlier this term. ✍️📖
