Today is International Day of Rural Women, and what an incredible opportunity it is to celebrate the women who are the heart of our communities. 💚

From balancing work and family life, raising children, volunteering at schools, helping on game days, organising events, and somehow still finding time to support those around them, rural women do it all.

They are the first to put their hand up, the last to seek recognition, and the steady force that keeps our communities thriving.

Today, we say a heartfelt thank you to every woman making a difference. To those baking late into the night for cake stalls, driving countless kilometres across our great state, lending a helping hand whenever it's needed, and quietly working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly.

Do you enjoy helping others?

✅ Being part of a team? ✅ Learning life-saving skills? ✅ Giving back to your community? ✅ Looking incredibly cool in a St John uniform? (Okay, that's a bonus 😎)

Then we might just have the volunteer opportunity for you!

Our Volunteer Ambulance Officers aren't superheroes... although we're still investigating that claim. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

They're mums, dads, farmers, tradies, teachers, retirees, and community members just like you. They're the friendly faces you see around town, stepping up when someone needs help, celebrating community events, and lending a hand when times get tough.
