🧸 What a wonderful morning at our Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

Today we welcomed our 2026 Mid Year Reception students to Grange Primary School for their very first transition visit.

There were stories shared, new friendships made and lots of smiles as we began this exciting journey together! ✨

We are so excited to welcome both new and returning families into our Grange Primary community and can’t wait to be part of your child’s schooling journey.

Thank you to all the families who joined us today.

💛 Reminder: Tomorrow, students are invited to wear a yellow accessory as we acknowledge the past and walk together towards a brighter future.

We are also hosting our Reconciliation Week Afternoon Tea (2.15-3pm) for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, a wonderful opportunity to connect together as a community and meet our new ACEO, Tiarna Power. We look forward to seeing you there!

🖤💛❤️ National Reconciliation Week ❤️💛🖤

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, “All In”, encourages all Australians to work together towards reconciliation through respect, understanding and strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Across the next two weeks, our students will take part in a range of meaningful activities including buddy tasks, Reconciliation in the West, Aboriginal dance and baking experiences, a family morning tea, and a special lunchtime dance showcase.

On Wednesday 3rd June, all students are invited to wear a yellow accessory to symbolise walking together towards a brighter future. 💛

Today we acknowledged and celebrated our amazing Grange Primary School volunteers, thanking them for the incredible contribution they make to our community and to helping make Grange the special place it is.

Schools are built on more than classrooms, students and teachers, they are built on community, kindness, and volunteers who generously give their time and energy to support others. We simply couldn’t do what we do without you!

Our Volunteers Morning Tea was made extra special with a beautiful performance of “Cover Me in Sunshine” by Ms McMahan and Prue’s class, and we were delighted to welcome Aria Bolkus MP, who joined us in thanking our wonderful volunteer community.

The video below captures some highlights from the morning tea, along with some of our volunteers in action across our school. 💙

As the bell goes today, keep an eye out for our students coming out of their classrooms with a collective applause, a special THANK YOU to all of our volunteers for everything you do for our school community.
