The Hamilton Fire Brigade is a 100% volunteer Fire Brigade that is part of the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

It services the township of Hamilton and its surrounding communities. The station in Cox St houses our 4 firefighting appliances: Hamilton Pumper, Hamilton Pumper/Tanker, Hamilton Hazmat and Hamilton Forward Command Vehicle. Our Brigade performs many different roles which include fire prevention / suppression, community awareness, Fire Safe Kids, fundraising, ongoing training and upskilling of members and attendance at public events.

Hamilton CFA remembers the 178 Victoria Police officers killed in the line of duty since 1853, alongside 13 employees who passed away through illness or other circumstances over the past year.

This month we celebrate the amazing young people in our Hamilton Juniors

It’s fantastic to see them learning, growing, building friendships and getting involved in their community. From developing practical firefighting skills to teamwork and leadership, our young members are gaining experiences that will stay with them for years to come. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒🔥

Last night the Hamilton Fire Brigade got stuck into some pre-season drills down at the Hamilton lake, brushing up on skills such as drafting and entrapment drills, getting the team ready for the upcoming fire season.

Keeping Our Brigade Ready 🚒🧹

Once a month, our Hamilton Fire Brigade crew takes some time out of training and responding to incidents to carry out essential station maintenance.

From cleaning and checking equipment to keeping the station and appliances in top condition, these regular maintenance days help ensure we’re ready to respond when our community needs us. 💪🚒

💪 Britt is back for her 3rd year in the Melbourne Stair Climb! 💪

We’re so proud of Britt as she once again takes on the challenge of the stair climb, pushing herself to new limits while supporting an incredible cause.

This marks her third year participating, showing true dedication, strength, and heart every step of the way. 🏃‍♀️❤️

Last night our Hamilton Fire Brigade members were back at training, putting their skills to the test across Breathing Apparatus (BA), search and rescue, and first aid. 🚒🔥

Regular training is an important part of being prepared to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us.

A big thank you to all our members for giving up their time to train and continue building their skills. 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Sam has been taking part in the Melbourne Stair Climb for the past 4 years, supporting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and their incredible cancer research.

Cancer research is something that is very close to Sam’s heart, and he’s proud to once again take on the challenge and help raise much-needed funds and awareness.
