Today, this young adult finished a hand-painted piece with their support worker beside them, side by side, steady, and proud. It’s one of those moments that looks simple from the outside, but says so much about confidence, connection, and being truly seen 💙

☕️🍬 BREAKING NEWS AT BEYOND THE SPECTRUM! 🍬☕️

We may have just found the most expensive game of sugar-stick basketball in Fraser Coast history! 😂💸

Lee (our CEO), Stevie & BJ (our Directors) headed to the new 63 Eli Waters to put their aim to the test. The challenge? 🎯 Throw a sugar stick into a cup!

The deal was simple… IF WE GOT ONE IN, BIG BOSS LADY LEE HAD TO PAY $20 FOR EVERY SINGLE BTS STAFF MEMBER TO GET LUNCH AND COFFEE TODAY! 🤣🙌

And guess what?!

🎉🎉 WE GOT IT IN!!! 🎉🎉

Sorry, Lee… but a deal is a deal! 😂💰

That’s right, EVERYONE gets in on the action! Payroll, admin, support workers, team leaders, management… EVERY. SINGLE. STAFF. MEMBER. ❤️

It might just look like grocery shopping to some people. But to us? This moment is huge. Getting out in the community, making your own choices, managing your own shop this is exactly what community access support is all about. We are Not just doing it for you. Just being there so you can do it yourself.
That's always the goal.

Mummy wrap showdown! 🧻😂

Two teams. One roll of toilet paper each (okay, maybe more than one). Zero dignity. Absolute chaos, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

There was shouting, there was cheering, someone's paper snapped halfway down and the whole room fell apart laughing. And yes, there was some very serious advice shouted from the sidelines. "Lower! Keep going lower!"

Not every great day at BTS is a big outing or a big milestone. Sometimes it's a lounge room, a few rolls of loo paper and a group of people who feel completely free to be silly together. Those are the moments we treasure. 💙

📓 A peek inside the BTS notebook

Ask any of our support workers what's in their notebook and you might expect shift times and ticking boxes. Some of that, sure. But the stuff that matters most looks more like this:

🍝 Favourite meal (and the one they'll pretend to hate but secretly love)
😂 What makes them laugh
🎧 The song that turns a rough morning around
🤍 What helps when things get big and loud
🌟 What they're proud of this week

Knowing someone's favourite meal isn't in any funding plan. But it's often the difference between a support worker and someone who's become part of your day. 💙

To our incredible BTS team: thank you for paying attention to the little things. They're never little. 🥰

🚨😂 CRISIS PREVENTION TRAINING AT BEYOND THE SPECTRUM! 😂🚨

At BTS, we take staff training seriously… but apparently, we also take the opportunity to practise on our Directors VERY seriously! 🤣🙌

Our amazing team got hands-on with crisis prevention training, building the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to support our clients safely, respectfully and with dignity. 💜

But the real highlight? Getting to practise their skills on a Director! 😂👀

Because nothing says leadership quite like volunteering yourself as the practice dummy! 🫣🤣

Behind the laughs, this training is an important part of what we do. We’re committed to equipping our team with the tools to recognise escalation, respond safely, de-escalate situations and support people through challenging moments with compassion and respect.

💜 Skilled staff. Safer supports. Stronger teams.

And to our Directors… thank you for being hands-on leaders. Literally. 😂👏

🎶 Itsy bitsy spider, climbing up the... evening!

A warm night on the patio, a guitar, and one of the best sing-alongs we've heard in a while. 🕷️🎸

Nobody's performing. Nobody's keeping score. It's just two people enjoying a song together, with all the hand actions included (because you can't sing this one without them 😄).

This is what we mean when we say support is about the person, not the plan:
🎵 Knowing the songs that make someone light up
🤝 Being the person who joins in, not the one who watches
🌙 Making the end of a long day feel a bit brighter
💙 Letting people be completely themselves

The best moments rarely make it into a care plan. They happen on a Tuesday night, on a patio, with a guitar. 🥰
