Mental Health Week Expo 2026
In line with this year’s theme of "Build Community, Build Wellbeing", HSSC hosted an interactive and informative expo to promote Mental Health Week 2026.

Students were invited to participate in a range of fun activities and conversations with over 20 local organisations setting up stalls and sharing information about their programs and services. Students were given the challenge to fill in a passport, collecting information from each service which allowed them to collect a range of prizes.

Alexa from Livin’ travelled all the way from Sydney (even after her first plane was cancelled and second plane delayed creating a stressful experience) to share the powerful message of her lived experience. She provided information about mental health and how each us can make a difference by checking in with our friends and family and learn self-care strategies to help overcome difficult situations.

A key message being “It Ain’t Weak to Speak”
S – Self Care
P – Pay attention to warning signs
E – Engage in open conversations
A – Attentively Listen
K – Kick start support options
