Big tech will also be required to protect under 18s from harmful content.

Whether we’re at the supermarket, the pub or at work, we expect basic rules to keep us safe. And going online should be no different.

Australia has just ranked 8th in the world for gender equality. It's the first time ever Australia is in the top ten. This is up from 13th last year, and 50th before we came to government. This is thanks to the Albanese Government's work in prioritising women's equality.

While we've made real progress here at home, there is more work to do. The Albanese Government will keep making gender equality a priority.
