Australian Army Reserve soldiers have put their skills to the test in New Zealand's South Island during Exercise TASMAN RESERVE 🇦🇺 🇳🇿

The bilateral exercise saw 40 soldiers from the 5th Brigade integrate with New Zealand Defence Force Reservists as a combined ANZAC combat team, training on NZ weapons and communications systems while operating in freezing, wet conditions.

From a helicopter insertion, to reconnaissance and patrols, the exercise sharpened interoperability and strengthened the ability of both nations to train, deploy and fight together.
