🎉 Attendance Blitzer – Week 5, Draw 1! 🎉

Congratulations to our two lucky winners! Both students achieved an A+ for attendance, with their attendance sitting above our school target of 93%! 👏

A big thank you to Mrs O for popping in and doing our draw!

🎨 Harvest Festival preparations are well underway! 🌾

Our Harvest Festival float props are starting to come together, and we are so grateful for the helping hands along the way.

A special shout-out to the wonderful students who have been giving up their lunch breaks to help paint, cut out and create our props. Your enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to lend a hand have not gone unnoticed!

We love seeing our Home Hill Heroes getting involved and taking pride in our school community. 💛

These lucky students achieved 93% or higher attendance for the previous week and get to choose between a Tuckshop Voucher or an About Town and Tackle Voucher! 🎟️

Our Wild Card Winner is also announced – this week's lucky student was drawn from those who were at school on the day of the draw! 🌟

📚 Building Strong Readers at Home Hill State School! 💙❤️

Our Year 1/2 learning space is making the most of intensive literacy groups designed to maximise student achievement and strengthen the essential skills needed to become confident, capable readers.

These specially developed sessions provide students with multiple opportunities to engage with key elements of reading, including phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Through explicit teaching, targeted practice and repeated exposure, students are supported to consolidate their skills, build confidence and make meaningful progress in their reading journey.

By focusing on individual learning needs and providing purposeful, targeted instruction, we are working to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
