🏀 INCLUSION THROUGH SPORT ♿ In late Term 3, a number of students from the HC AFL and Basketball Academies took part in an engaging wheelchair basketball workshop as part of the Disability Sport and Recreation Regional WheelTalk Program.

WheelTalk is an interactive program that promotes diversity, acceptance and disability awareness, with a strong focus on the importance of inclusion.

Presented by Victorians with disability who are actively involved in sport and recreation, the program combines powerful personal stories and lived experiences with the opportunity for students to get involved and experience up to an hour of wheelchair basketball firsthand.

On behalf of Horsham College, Mr Bruce and Mr Hose would like to extend a big thank you to Peter for sharing his experiences, inspiring our students and highlighting how inclusion and sport can go hand in hand. 💙

A fantastic opportunity for our students to build understanding, develop empathy and see how sport can bring everyone together
