📹✅ 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲

Flinders Shire Council is pleased to announce the completion of the Hughenden CCTV Network Upgrade, a significant investment in community safety, security and asset protection across the township.

The project has delivered a comprehensive upgrade to Council's CCTV network, with 77 cameras installed across 28 locations throughout Hughenden, providing enhanced coverage of key public spaces, community facilities, recreational areas and Council assets.

The upgraded network will support crime prevention, assist law enforcement when required, help protect public infrastructure and contribute to a safer environment for residents and visitors.

Council would like to thank all project partners involved in delivering this important community safety initiative.

Due to heightened fire conditions, the local fire ban has been extended until 11:59pm Friday, 2 October for the following Local Government Areas:

📍 Richmond
📍 Flinders
📍 McKinlay

⚠️ Under a local fire ban:
❌ All open fires are prohibited.
❌ All existing Permits to Light Fire are suspended for the duration of the ban.

Please do your part to reduce the risk of fire and keep our communities safe.

🏡 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻

Flinders Shire Council has successfully secured $4.285 million from the Queensland Government's Community Benefits Fund to deliver a brand-new multi-dwelling housing development in Hughenden.

This funding will help address our regional housing shortage, increase housing diversity, and make it easier to attract and retain key workers, families, and essential service providers in our Shire.

Council will now test the market to ensure we get the absolute best long-term value, design, and yield for our community.
