🎶 **Learning an instrument is a gift that lasts a lifetime!** 🎶

On Friday, our Year 2–6 students travelled to the amazing Pimlico State High School to attend the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Education Concert. What a wonderful experience we all had!

Learning an instrument, developing the discipline to practise regularly, and carrying that skill into high school can open so many doors for children.

And the benefits don’t stop there. As children grow into adulthood, the opportunity to continue playing in an orchestra, connect with like-minded people, and be part of a team that brings sound, energy and emotion together to create music is truly special.

Making music nurtures wellbeing, builds resilience, fosters friendships and creates a sense of belonging. It reminds us of the incredible things we can achieve when we work together towards something beautiful.

In a world that can feel increasingly busy and stressful, let’s help our children develop a gift they can carry with them throughout their lives — a gift that keeps on giving, long into adulthood. ❤️🎻🎺

Oh my goodness! The best de-stressor is to laugh and have a bit of fun with your team. Have a great break everyone and remember self-care is not your last priority! Humans of Hinchinbrook Growing up in Ingham North Queensland

It was lovely to see Helena DeBartoli, regional coordinator of Pick of the Crop. Our little tuck shop garden has big plans. We already love eating the delicious vegetables that come from our garden. Mrs Jackie and the team have the best green thumbs. Watch this space💚🍅🫑🍆🥗🫐🫕🥫🥞🥐🥓🍨🍯🥪🍞🍳@
