The Rotary Club of Liverpool and The Rotary Club of Liverpool West generously sponsored The John Mula Memorial Art Prize at the 25th Annual Liverpool Art Society Exhibition at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.

Honoured to have a representative for each of your Rotary Club to announce this year's winner at the launch, along with the amazing judge Litsa Veldekis, thank you Barry Hancock from Rotary Club of Liverpool and Peter Beadle from the Rotary Club of Liverpool West.

The winning entry is an absolutely stunning oil painting by artist John (Wen Han) Wang titled, 'Beautiful Giant Birds of Paradise. Series 2' 150cm x 120cm x 4cm
John (Wen Han) Wang's statement: "Beautiful leaves gathered in one painting like a family with babies, juniors, seniors gather in the park along the river in Liverpool."

The artist John Wang had a much higher reserve on his large oil painting but was very proud to have been the recipient of the John Mula Memorial Prize, in his own words, "

Miracle babies is Australia’s leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them. Liverpool Rotary has been a proud sponsor and supporter.

Liverpool Rotary Club Charity Fundraising BBQ was held at Bunnings Hoxton Park on Sunday 24th September.

T.S. Kanimbla Navel cadets and their parents volunteered their time to support and help the BBQ.

T.S. Kanimbla is unit of the Australian Navy Cadets located in Holsworthy.

Navy Cadets is a voluntary youth organisation for boys and girls aged between 12 and 18, sponsored by the local community and the Royal Australian Navy.
