A heads up for those who haven't yet enjoyed time out The Veterans Retreat and a gentle nudge for those current Tasmanian Veterans Association members who haven't finalised 2026 renewals yet.

100% volunteer organisation focussed on veteran and family wellbeing through short stay accommodation at Lake Sorrell in the Central Highlands.

TVA offers the OG Retreat, a modern four bedroom self contained residence capable of sleeping 8 -11 and the newly launched Wellbeing Unit, an equally modern two bedroom self contained residence capable of sleeping max of 4.

A booking at either facility guarantees exclusive use for Veterans, their families and friends and we work closely with the team at VVAA-TAS for reciprocal and overflow accommodation in peak times.

Fishing, art, mountain and touring bike tracks, the history of the Southern Midlands and the heritage of the High Country - membership with TVA offers local and expat Tasmanian service personnel a unique opportunity.
