IPSWICH CITY COUNCIL DISASTER DASHBOARD

With Ipswich being subjected to heavy rain in recent days, I advise residents that the official Ipswich Disaster Dashboard is the primary real-time portal for the Ipswich City Council.

It provides live updates on local emergency warnings, road closures, power outages, river and creek heights, rain gauges, and a network of 37 live flood awareness cameras.

For General Enquiries to Council and if you have an Emergencies you can call (07) 3810 6666.

To view the Disaster Dashboard go to https://disaster.ipswich.qld.gov.au/

The Disaster Dashboard status at 9.27am 22.10.26 is as illustrated:

🌱 A huge thank you to Farmer Jess from Nutbush Farms for joining our Year 3 students via video call to share how food waste is managed on a macadamia farm! 🌳
As part of our HASS learning about waste management, students discovered that reducing food waste starts before the plants even go into the ground! Farmer Jess explained how careful planning, caring for plants and managing pests help farmers protect their crops so more food reaches us, the consumers. 🧑‍🌾
Thank you, Farmer Jess, for bringing our classroom learning to life and helping us appreciate the thought and hard work that goes into growing our food! 💚

Building “Connection & Belonging” between our Y5 students & our Future Champions. Our transition program (including buddy reading) encourages multiple opportunities for our Future Champions to spend time at CSS prior to starting in 2027. We love helping them build their confidence & seeing them grow💜💜

Student data is a reflection from our current students in Y5 & 6. Still room for us to grow but some significant improvements felt from those that completed the survey. Our focus on improvement will continue🤩

We have the best staff working with and for our Champions and their families everyday!
This data tells us that the culture here at CSS is one that represents "Team". We want our staff to know how valued they are and how lucky our Champions are to have them (no matter what role they hold) as they all make a difference in our Champion's lives each and every day. 💜
