The Northern Areas Council is situated in the heartland of the Southern Flinders Ranges, approximately 200 kilometres north of Adelaide and within the traditional lands of the Ngadjuri and Nukunu people. Northern Areas Council offices are closed today for the Labour Day public holiday.

Gladstone and Jamestown offices will reopen Tuesday, 6 October from 9:00 am.

🎡 The Jamestown Show is almost here! 🎆

This Sunday and Monday, 4th and 5th October, the Show will bring plenty of fun, entertainment and, of course, fireworks to enjoy over the long weekend.

The Show is a great opportunity to get together, catch up with family and friends and support the wonderful volunteers who put so much time and effort into making the weekend happen. These community events don't happen without the people behind the scenes, and their hard work is something worth celebrating.

🐾 And don't forget our four-legged friends. Fireworks can be loud and frightening for animals, so if you have pets or livestock, make sure they are safely secured before the fireworks begin.

Most of all, enjoy the weekend and make the most of the 150th Jamestown Show. We hope everyone has a safe, happy and memorable long weekend!

🏟️ WWI Memorial Grandstand Refreshed at Spalding Oval 🎨
The WWI Memorial Grandstand at Spalding Oval has recently received stonework repairs and a fresh coat of paint as part of Council's ongoing building maintenance program.
This project was delivered in partnership with the Spalding War Memorial Committee Inc, helping to preserve and enhance this important local landmark for the community to enjoy for years to come.
